Starting at Landport Gate in St George’s Road, this trail takes you through parts of the old town of Portsmouth, highlighting places and buildings of interest relating to Vice Admiral Lord Nelson and Portsmouth around the time of the Battle of Trafalgar. There are four interpretation panels along the way providing more information. From Landport Gate walk up to the roundabout and turn right into the High Street, at the end of the High Street turn left along the waterfront, taking in the Garrison Church off Penny Street before rejoining the waterfront promenade. Continue along the waterfront, through Clarence Pier to the Victory Anchor on Clarence Esplanade. Full details of the trail available from the Visitor Information Centres.
