One of the newest places to open up in Leeds city centre is a small bar on Dock Street called PIN. PIN is run by the independent Leeds Brewery and is located in the premises of the failed Noode restaurant. The interior has been freshened up, fairly basic but stylish, bare bricks, wooden tables and floor and a large mirror along one wall.
The lack of exciting design doesn't matter because what PIN seems to be about is showcasing the Leeds Brewery's range of beers and introducing ale drinking to a younger trendier audience. There are three permanent beers, Leeds Pale, Best Bitter and Midnight Bell and a changing monthly special.
PIN also offers a small 'pub grub' menu with a selection of sandwiches at £5.50 each and for £8.50 classic main dishes like steak and (Leeds) ale pie, and (Leeds) beer battered fish and chips. The food they claim is locally sourced and freshly prepared.
