Geoff Hamilton developed the Barnsdale television garden from scratch over 14 years, for BBC 2's Gardeners' World programme. Since 1997 the gardens have been open to the public and offer not just inspiration but also an extremely enjoyable day out. We find that both gardeners and non-gardeners alike enjoy the gardens, many leaving Barnsdale with a plentiful list of ideas. After visiting the gardens why not relax in our fully licensed coffee shop, taking advantage of it's excellent selection of food and drink. Fully refreshed it is then time to enjoy our well stocked nursery, where we grow over 2000 different varieties of choice and unusual garden plants. Many of the plants grown are propagated from those in the gardens themselves. If you have space between the plants purchased our gift shop stocks a range of exclusive Barnsdale products which make the perfect momento of a perfect day.
