Haltemprice Sports Centre

Haltemprice Leisure Centre is situated in Anlaby on the outskirts of Hull. It provides a variety of sports facilities including a gym, squash courts and two outdoor multi sports courts.

There is a 6 lane, 25 metre regional standard swimming pool and a learner pool. Childrens' swimming lessons are an intergral part of our programme, together with aqua aerobic activities. We also have adult only swim times and lane swimming sessions.

The health and fitness suite has recently been fully fitted with the latest concept in cardiovascular and resistance equipment and our fully trained coaches are on hand to cater for all your needs. It has become very successful and there are already plans to further increase its size. Within the Tone Zone we also offer exercise programmes and health checks. A wide range of exercise classes are available for all abilities as well as exercise referral and cardiac rehabilitation courses.

There are two sports halls both five multi activity sports halls and they are a popular venue for sporting teams and casual users to play a range of indoor sports. Our floodlit outdoor multi sport areas are available for hire not only for 5-a-side but also tennis, netball and basketball. Along with this they manage cricket, football and rugby pitches in the Hessle and Anlaby areas.

Two glass back squash courts and one hard back squash courts are available for use. These can be booked via reception or online via the home page of the website. This invigorating sport is great for hand eye co-ordination, agility and reflexes and will require the development of a high level of fitness to progress to the highest levels. To help you develop your game and an understanding of the rules coaching for adults and juniors is offered.

New conference facilities have been developed at Haltemprice Leisure Centre as part of a rolling programme of improvements at the Anlaby facility. The old bar has been transformed in to a versatile events and conferencing facility in a bid to attract more business from the public and private sector. Called the Kirk Ella room, it can accommodate up to 40 guests for conferences, meetings, seminars and training events and provides essential equipment for presentations and training events. It has controllable lighting, air conditioning, plenty of 13 amp sockets and a network point for East Riding of Yorkshire Council customers. Currently, the room can be booked from Monday to Friday from 08:00 until 17:00. A break-out room and full catering service is available.
