Housed in a restored corn mill in a beautiful village with a ?living canal on its doorstep, the Canal Museum at Stoke Bruerne is an ideal place to explore the story of our waterways.
Our ?Idle Women exhibition tells the story of the young women who worked on the waterways during the Second World War. Plus an audio trail helps you to explore the canalside village and historic Blisworth Tunnel, with beautiful waterside walks and lots of wildlife and historic structures to see.
At weekends and during the school holidays, our trip boat offers visitors the chance to get afloat explore the Grand Union Canal.
Visitors can enjoy a cup of coffee whilst watching the boats go by in the Museums new Waterside Café. And our Museum shop has a range of canal books and high quality waterway products including painted canal-ware, guides, maps, gifts and souvenirs.
