Canterbury Tourist Guides Ltd.
Official Canterbury Green Badge tourist guides, providing walking tours of the city in English and several European languages.
TThe heart of Canterbury can only be explored on foot. Join an official guide for a leisurely 90 minute walk and learn about the fascinating history of a World Heritage Cathedral city from Roman times to the present day. On these walks you will hear about the arrival of St. Augustine in 597AD, the murder of Archbishop Thomas Becket and about the many famous people who have lived and worked here like Christopher Marlowe, Charles Dickens and Mary Tourtel, the creator of Rupert Bear, to name but a few. The walking tour usually includes the Cathedral precincts, the historic King's School, the leaning house, the ducking stool, the pilgrims inns dotted around the medieval lanes and many other interesting buildings and features.

Daily tours depart from the Canterbury Information Centre and are conducted in English. Pre-booked group tours are available throughout the year in nine European languages. Please phone us or consult our website for further information.
