Formerly a Gentlemen’s Country Club, Hillside House offers friendly, family run accommodation on the quiet outskirts of the lovely historic village of Castleton. The large country House is set in delightful gardens and provides panoramic views of the Hope Valley and Win Hill, With Lose Hill in the distance. Our comfortable, spacious bedrooms offer homely and clean accommodation with a choice of 2 double en suite rooms with shower, hand basin and toilet. Ample Parking is available and we have a locked outbuilding will keep those cycles secure for all you keen cyclists, and drying facilities are available for all you outdoor enthusiasts!Castleton itself lies in the very heart of the Peak District National Park, and is an ideal base for Artists, Ramblers, Geologists, Historians- or anyone with a love for the outdoors amongst some of the most beautiful and dramatic scenery in the Country. There is a wealth of local walks and of course Castleton itself is famous for its blue John Caverns and the Norman Peveril Castle. Castleton is equal distance from the Spa Town of Buxton and the Market Town of Bakewell. It is also within easy reach of Chatsworth House and the Plague Village of Eyam.
