Dating from 1688, Wallington has been home to many generations of the Blackett and Trevelyan families and is set in delightful grounds and parkland. The House contains fine collections of ceramics, needlework, dolls' houses and paintings, including the famous series of paintings of Northumberland history by William Bell Scott. The delightful Walled Garden and Edwardian Conservatory display diverse and colourful plants all year round. The wider woodland walks encompass lakes, sculptures, an adventure playground and a wildlife hide. There is also a varied, year-round events programme.
