This 800 acre estate enable you to enjoy some of Yorkshire's most beautiful countryside and explore a rich variety a historic buildings and landscapes that reflect key periods of English history. Lose yourself in the passages, staircases and towers of Fountains Abbey, the largest monastic runs in the country.

Enjoy the vision of the Aislabue family who created the water garden in the 18th century and be enchanted by the neo-classical statues, delightful follies and breathtaking surprise views. Marvel at the avenues of oak, lime and sweet chestnut trees that create grand vistas all the way to the market town of Ripon.

Lose yourself in the passages, staircases and towers of the largest monastic ruins in the country and marvel at a unique relic of ancient craftsmanship. The explore the 12th century Abbey ruins, Elizabethan mansion, medieval deer park and one of England's mosr spectacular Georgian water gardens - complete with neo-classical statues, follies and breathtaking suprise views.

And, if this were not enough, there is also the only surviving 12th Century Cistercian corn mill in Britain with interactive displays plus a Willian Burges designed Victorian church.
