The Museum's collection of footwear and related items is of national significance and has Designation status. The collection is the largest in the world. The visitor can discover shoe fashions and the history of shoe making in the galleries.
Other displays include a prestigious collection of Italian art together with British paintings; British and Oriental ceramics and glass and the history of Northampton from the Stone Age to the present day.
The Museum organises a dynamic programme of exhibitions and events which promises something for everyone.
