Black Friars Distillery, The home of Plymouth Gin, was formerly a Dominican Monastery dating back to 1425 and is reputed to have been where the Pilgrim fathers spent their last night before sailing on the Mayflower in the New World. The visitor centre provides regular tours of the distillery, a cafe showcasing the best of South West produce, a striking new cocktail lounge in the medieval refectory hall and a distillery shop offering the full range of Plymouth Gin products and gifts.
