Puzzlewood is a unique and magical place in the beautiful Forest of Dean. Explore a mile of meandering pathways taking you through a spectacular wonderland of deep ravines of moss covered rocks, over wooden bridges and through fantastic tree and rock formations. There are seven elusive features to find as you wander round.

JRR Tolkien, was a frequent visitor to the Forest of Dean and took his inspiration for "The Lord of the Rings" from places within it. He reputedly based the fabled forests of Middle Earth on Puzzlewood. Take a gentle walk through the woods, to be transported back to an English landscape, essentially unchanged for thousands of years.

Test your sense of direction in our indoor wooden maze; secret doors, hidden passageways and dead ends. Meet the farm animals; then have a snack in our cafe while the children enjoy the Children's Playground.

The wood is not suitable for pushchairs or the less physically able due to the may uneven steps within.
