In this secluded valley high in the Chilterns you will find a mosaic of habitats from birch, conifer and beech woodlands to chalk grassland and scrub. Orchids abound here and in spring the valley bottom is awash with bluebells. In autumn over 900 species of fungi are here to discover. Deer are the most likely mammals to see and red kites are often soaring overhead. Open all year. There is a small visitor centre and nature trail. The site is one of 88 reserves owned by Berkshire Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust.
