The Deep

Experience the dramatic story of the world's oceans, from the dawn of time and into the future at Hull's award-winning 'submarium', home to 40 sharks and 3500 fish! Highlights include Europe's deepest viewing tunnel and a glass lift ride through the 10m deep tank. The Deep is a conservation and educational charity, working on a programme of conservation and research around the world, from the Caribbean to the North Sea oil fields. The Deep works with such partners as Equipe Cousteau, London Zoo, The Shark Trust and The Marine Conservation Society. Our projects aim to help conserve the world's oceans and raise public awareness of the threats facing them.

We work in collaboration with many conservation organisations, universities, other aquariums and institutions. The Deep is proud to be a member of BIAZA (British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums), the professional body representing the best zoos and aquariums in Britain and Ireland.

The Deep is available to hire for that exclusive event with a difference. You can have exclusive evening hire of the whole exhibition, dedicated conference and meeting facilities, choice of dining areas, customised menus, civil weddings and naming ceremonies and wedding receptions.

Dine with the sharks! The Two Rivers Restaurant at The Deep is open Friday and Saturday evenings from 7pm. Enjoy a contemporary Mediterranean menu with a Yorkshire twist. Dine at the restaurant whilst enjoying great views of the stunning aquatic displays. Also a new Tapas menu available.
