Beautiful 18thC mansion, park, gardens, stable block, tearoom and permanent model railway exhibition. The Pennyman family's intimate 18th-century mansion, attractive rural mansion and gardens on the edge of Middlesbrough. The simple Palladian façade masks exquisite interior decoration, paintings and furnishing. Fine Georgian stable block, attributed to Carr of York, home to the horses of the Cleveland Mounted Police Large permanent model railway exhibition in the Old Wing. Fine selection of homemade cakes in the tearoom. Extensive programme of events and concerts.

Last entry to the house is 16:30. Open Good Friday.
