Following the disastrous fire in July 2008 that destroyed the Pavilion at Weston-super-Mare’s top attraction, The Grand Pier, exciting plans are underway for the new multi-million pound Pavilion, which will open its doors in 2010.

The all-weather entertainment Pavilion has fantastic views of the shoreline, beach and sea, as well as a brand new 91m viewing platform providing unparalled views of the bay and beyond. Inside the new Pavilion you will discover some of the best coastal entertainment the South West has to offer and feast on the heartiest of seaside fare. There will be a range of rides inside the Pavilion, including traditional favourites such as dodgems, a ghost train and a crazy fun house. Several brand new attractions will be introduced, these include; a Robo-Coaster, Sidewinder, Psychedelic House, Surfboard Simulator, the longest electric Go-Kart track in the UK, a 5D cinema and a surf board ride. For young children there will be an adventure playground ball pit and a helicopter ride. Also, an amusement section will house the latest video games and family entertainment.

New catering outlets will feature a coffee shop, a fish & chip restaurant, an ice-cream parlour, Victorian tearoom, as well as old favourites that sell freshly made popcorn, candy floss, donuts and toffee apples.

A retail section will include a Fudge Factory, Teddy Town and traditional seaside sweet, rock and gift shops.

There will also be regular free entertainment such as clowns, circus acts and live music to give both local residents and holidaymakers a real carnival atmosphere.
