Hartlepool’s Maritime Experience is home of an authentic reconstruction of an 18th Century naval seaport where visitors can step back in time to a remarkable period in British history. Regular musketry, cannon firing and sword fighting all help in bringing the past to life.
Featuring the short film 'Pressganged', replica quayside shops, a Children's Adventure Centre and Playship, the Maritime Experience is a fun-filled day out for all.
See what life was like onboard a warship in our newly refurbished audio visual tour 'Fighting Ships' before exploring the real thing - HMS Trincomalee, the oldest warship afloat in the UK.
The Museum of Hartlepool, with free entry, can also give an insight into the amazing history and heritage this town holds.
