A beautiful 300 year old thatched and listed farmhouse in the centre of Oakham, close to the railway station, Rutland Water and all the shops, restaurants and pubs. As part of a recent renovation project two new ensuite bedrooms, one double and one twin, have been built in the garden. Each room has its own patio with table and chairs and a private entrance from the drive where off-road parking is provided. A large English or continental breakfast with home made preserves is served in the garden room looking out onto a traditional English cottage garden. Rutland Water offers guests a very large range of activities from cycling, fishing, sailing, rock climbing, bird watching or golf. There are also some famous stately homes and gardens within east reach. Arrival times are flexible and are usually agreed beforehand.
