Stockdale House dates from 1647 and is situated in the small hamlet of Feizor, which is within the Yorkshire Dales National Park near Settle (4 miles). A house of amazing character, it has stone mullion leaded windows, an old water pump and stone trough at the front of the house and a beautiful private cottage garden to the rear with views to the limestone crags of Feizor Scars. This cosy cottage is the ideal base from which to walk, bike or travel by car to the many villages and stunning scenery of the Yorkshire Dales. Drawings of the water pump and front garden are featured in Wainright’s ‘Walks in Limestone Country’.

Stockdale House is a spacious, family sized home comfortably sleeping 5 in 3 bedrooms. Upon entering the dining room and open plan kitchen the history and character of the house greets you with blue flag floors, rustic beams, a stone inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove and copper kitchenware PLUS a beautiful oak dining table with carved chairs. The house has full central heating.

Kitchen - The kitchen is open plan so that you can enjoy the company of your family and friends whilst preparing their meals. It features a beautiful wide window complete with leaded lights and seat looking out over the hamlet of Feizor and contains a dishwasher, fridge, microwave and electric double oven with grill. There is a washing machine, freezer and extra storage in a utility room to the rear of the house.

Lounge – The spacious cosy lounge with fitted carpets also has the original stone inglenook fireplace with an attractive wood burning stove. Your comfort is assured by two leather suites and also a window seat with open views across Feizor. There is a flat screen TV, DVD player and piano. Bedrooms – There are three bedrooms, a double, twin and single; all with fitted carpets and stunning views across the Dales. The double features a beautiful French Sleigh bed, large window with seat, wardrobes and drawers, exposed beams and plasterwork. The twin is spacious with window seat with open views, cast iron Victorian fireplace, wardrobes and drawers. The cosy single is a charming room with featured beams and stone inglenook fireplace. Bathroom – The family bathroom is attractively modernised to include a shower over the bath, featured wood panelling and views into the rear garden. No smoking and No pets
